Groups

Along with our personalised tennis camps for individuals, we also arrange “team tennis” holidays for groups who want to play competitive tennis in the sun. These sessions can either be arranged for private groups, or for individuals who want to sign up for our advertised dates.

Each of our “team tennis” holidays has the following format:

  • Day 1: Arriving then meeting your coach and fellow players
  • Day 2: Practicing and getting assessed by your coach (along with the other players)
  • Day 3: Being assigned to a team, then practicing and being coached with these players
  • Day 4: Playing competitive matches with your team, followed by optional social activities

All of these camps are hosted at Corralejo Lodge, and below is a breakdown of all activities per day:

Our “team tennis” holidays provide the ideal balance of relaxing, having fun and playing great competitive tennis.

Day 1: Arrive at the Lodge

When you arrive at the lodge, you’ll be invited to check into your own double room immediately, It’ll then be your choice to either relax or explore the local area. You’ll then be invited to meet your host and your fellow players in the main part of the lodge at around 19.00.

Then, you’ll be invited to join the rest of the group for some optional dinner and drinks in the local area.

Day 2: Assessment Sessions

At 10:00, you’ll join all of your fellow players for a 2-hour assessment session with 2 local tennis coaches. This will be a group coaching session where the coaches will assess you each of your strokes. The group will then be split based of levels of ability ahead of the afternoon session. Then, you’ll be invited to attend a group lunch in the local area.

The next group coaching session will start at 15:00 for both designated groups, with one coach assigned to each group of 4 players. Each coach will then help their group to improve and practice several different shots, including forehands, backhands, serving and volleys. This session will last for 2 hours, and you will then be given a whole evening of free time.

Day 3: Group Assignments

At 10.00, you’ll join all of your fellow players on court, and the coaches will divide you into 2 teams of 4 players, which will be at roughly a similar standard overall. Each team will have their own coach, and the coach will work with them for the whole of this day. The first 2-hour session will focus discussing tactics for tomorrow’s singles and doubles, before a 2-hour break for lunch.

Then, the 2-hour afternoon session will start at 14.00, and the coaches will focus on helping their teams to practice their planned tactics amongst themselves for each of the following days matches. Then, each player will be invited to attend an outdoor live music show from 16.30, before everyone is then given some free time during their evening.

Day 4: Group Matches

At 10.00, you’ll join your fellow players on court to play your first session of team matches. During this time, everyone will play four 25-minute doubles matches. All players will then break for lunch at 12.00, before the afternoon session then starts at 2pm. In that session, all players will play two 50-minute singles matches against players of a similar standard from the opposing team.

All of the tennis will then finish at 5pm, with everyone then invited to meet in the main part of the lodge for the presentations. At this time, the winning team will then announced, before trophies and prizes are then handed out to each winning player. Each player will then be invited to attend a group dinner in Corralejo at 19.00, followed by some optional drinks in the main part of the town.
